Making music in the mountains

Patrons and visitors to the ‘Valley’ were treated to an array of music genres

The hills were alive with the sound of ‘Music in the Mountains’ (MiMs) when the Drakensberg Boys Choir School (DBCS) hosted the 2023 music festival from April 27 to 30.

Top schools from around the country, as well as White Stone from Zimbabwe, made the journey to be part of this year’s festival.

Patrons and visitors to the ‘Valley’ were treated to an array of music genres throughout the weekend.

The quality crafts and delicious food on offer allowed shoppers to fill their tummies and gift stockings.

DBCS executive headmaster Dave Cato summed up the 2023 event: “The resounding success of this bumper MiMs festival is testament to our passionate, dedicated choristers, staff , parent body and families. It is a privilege to have people within the Drakie community who are committed to enhancing the supreme product, which we are all so proud of.”
