Annual Dog-A-Thon coming up

Registration is from 2pm and the walk will start at 3pm at Egerton’s Agar Sports Field, so bring your pets and join in the fun

The Animal Anti-Cruelty League (AACL) will be holding their annual Dog-A-Thon on May 31. Registration is from 2pm and the walk will start at 3pm at Egerton’s Agar Sports Field, so bring your pets and join in the fun.

The AACL still has many animals in desperate need of loving homes, so pop in at the kennels and find a new best friend today.
The public’s help is needed to find a ginger cat named ‘Stirling’ that went missing from Farquhar Road and a black male German Shepherd named ‘Donker’ from the Alambra area. Please contact the kennels on 076-151-1784 if you have any information regarding these lost pets.

The league relies on donations to survive and would like to thank the following members of the public for their support this week: Mrs Wallis (cat food), Mrs Jenni Du Plessis, Mr and Mrs Labuschagne, and Mrs J Lotz.
Just another reminder to the public not to chain up their animals.
This is a crime and could result in you paying a hefty fine.
If you have to chain up your dog, make sure it is on a running chain and that the animal has access to shade and fresh drinking water.
