Eve is real: Uncensored attracts thousands of online players

Be warned: The language is not for the faint of heart

Eve Online is a massive sand box game with close to 500,000 players playing it. It has a 10-year history as an MMO (Massive Multi-player Online) game.

The release of a single video has turned the game’s dwindling player base on its head with literally 10s of thousands of new players signing up.

The video below features real players from around the world, but the language is not for the faint of heart! The action is real filmed in real-time. This was a major departure by the online marketing team, who had previously stuck to CGI and pre-rendered non-game play trailers.

The raw reality and uncensored action shows even seasoned players of the game what they have been missing out on by playing only the more traditional player vs environment (AI players), better known as PvE rather than PvP (player vs player.). The game has regularly made international news, with the most expensive battle in online gaming history. See story HERE

But the video has been credited with a resurgence of the game. It is likely other online MMOs will quickly follow suit.
