Friday night was yet another roll-over in the weekly draw.
The weather deterred a couple of the die-hards from attending the Friday night open evening, but the handful who attended had great fun.
Saturday saw a good couple of rugby fanatics cheering the Boks on in their opening rugby championships game.
Sunday was Moth bowls in Dundee, with the Corrie Lundin trophy up for grabs. With so many other fixtures in town, we could only manage to field one team, who managed to end up seventh overall.
This coming weekend, we are sending six teams down to Mills Bomb Shellhole in Toti for their annual “bools” tournament. We wish all participating a safe journey to and fro, and good luck with the bowls.
We would like to see the trophy back at our Shellhole after a lengthy absence. On that note, don’t forget to bring back our hand grenade and some bounty from Mills Bomb Shellhole.
Please, if you have any unwanted items at home, bring them down to the Shellhole for the Juana Maria Bazaar.
We will be running the jumble table at this event and hopefully we can aid the old age home with some much-needed funds.
The next events coming up will be the manning of the water table at the Ladysmith Cycle Challenge and then our R&R weekend at Spioenkop Dam.
Remember that the hall and bosbar are available for any function or weddings. Please contact Jenny on 0606577318 to make bookings, etc.
