Legends collide on the soccer turf
The Legends team remains open to soccer players over the age of 50, and encourages older players to keep fit and 'keep the ball rolling'.

Local football legends reclaimed their glory days at the weekend.
Few were sure of what to expect when Newcastle Legends and oSizweni Legends clashed at the Paradise Sports Grounds.
After all, these players paved the way for modern stars.

And true to expectations, seasoned veterans from both sides put their skills and bodies to the tests in the thrilling match on Saturday afternoon.
The match would end in a one-all draw.
However, the game featured everything soccer fans would ever want: from sketchy slide tackles to diving goalie saves and expert dribbling from end to end.
It was a breathless, scintillating affair.
Speaking in an interview on Monday, Newcastle Legends coach, Pranil Kunju admitted his team had let the initiative get away from them.
“Newcastle had the first half of the game but oSizweni fought back hard in the second half.”

This includes regular league matches during the year.
Newcastle Legends will be in action again this weekend, when it faces a Durban team at 1.30pm on Saturday, at the Fernwood Sports Grounds.
