The Shed girls came Stone Last but were not fazed and the evening concluded with plenty of fun matchbox racing. The CPC team (not PPC- those are the cement guys) showed some resolve to avoid the Big Stone and managed to walk away with the Baby Stone that goes to the team finishing second to last.
The Moths were placed second and the Mbube team third. The prize giving evening concluded with some fun matchbox racing overseen by slick commentators and masters of ceremony, Lourens Roos and Greg Conolly.
“The Shed” Pool and Darts Business League gets underway June 9. Teams can be made up of more than four players, some can play pool and some can play darts. In the event of players not able to play, teams have backup. Bring your baskets and join in the braai and great camaraderie. Every Friday Sunset bowls starting from 3:30pm onwards, all business league and new players are welcome. Northern Senior Ladies Fours
The Dundee ladies team of Hannelie Arndt, Essie Slabbert, Lyn Dippenaar, Louisa Vreken were runners-up in the Northern’s Senior ladies fours played in Newcastle last Saturday which was won by Darlene Louw’s Mahawane team. The Senior Men’s fours was an all Newcastle affair, won by Trevor Douthwaite’s team while the runners-up Koen Pretorius’s team.
