For the fifth year running, Blackrock Casino is set to celebrate the Hindu Festival of Lights, Diwali, in first-class fashion.

As part of this years’ festivities, Blackrock will host Durban comedians, the Dingalings.

The Dingalings, who are currently taking KwaZulu-Natal by storm, will be performing their new show, Chops, Choons and Spano Dops 2. The event will take place at Blackrock’s indoor exhibition hall on October 24 at 7pm.

“We host different entertainers each year, keeping the event fresh and exciting,” said Blackrock Casino Marketing Manger, Veneshrie Chetty. “In keeping with the celebratory theme, the Dingalings cast brings a unique blend of high energy entertainment through comedy, as well as some Chutney and Nagara music to celebrate the auspicious occasion.”

Local dancers from Aja Nachale and CKN dance schools will entertain guests throughout the duration of the event. The show’s favourite funny man, Mr Ramkisoon, is set to have the crowd in stitches once again.

“Having reached full capacity for the four Dingalings shows, tickets for the Blackrock Casino Diwali celebration are bound to sell quickly. Head down to the casino’s cash desk to purchase your ticket and ensure you do not miss out!”

Tickets are on sale for R120 per person. Cardholders will receive up to 15 per cent discount.

“We would also like to wish the community a very happy Diwali and thank them for their continued patronage,” concluded Mrs Chetty.
