We take a look at five classic songs remade to entertain the next generation of Nirvana and Bob Marley fans:

1. Tracey Chapman – Fast Car

Released in April 1988 as the lead single from her self-titled debut album, this song is an all time favourite classic.

In 2005, Jonas Blue featuring Dakota recreated the hit with an added techno beat that made us fall in love with the classic all over again.

Did you know? Tracey Chapman’s appearance on the Nelson Mandela 70th Birthday Tribute was the catalyst for the song becoming a top 10 hit in the United States.

2. Bob Marley – Jamming

Every reggae fan loved ‘jamming’ to this song – it was released in Marley’s 1977 album Exodus. The song was re-released 10 years later as a tribute to Bob Marley and was again a hit.

In 2015, Benny Benassi took it to a new level and introduced a dance concept to it. Take a listen below:

3. Roy Orbison – Pretty Woman

The song was released as a single in August 1964 and spent three weeks at number one on the Billboard Hot 100.
