Thirty minutes that saves up to three lives
World Blood Donor Day is celebrated on June 14.

Each year, thousands of South Africans require blood transfusions during medical procedures, emergencies, and for ongoing medical conditions, resulting in blood transfusion needed every 35 seconds. Yet, only 1% of the South African population donates blood. With only thirty minutes of your time you can save up to three lives.

On World Blood Donor Day, celebrated tomorrow, June 14, the World Health Organisation acknowledge and thank voluntary, unpaid donors for their life saving gifts.
With Youth Month being celebrated in June, the South African National Blood Service especially call upon the youth to become part of a life-saving network of heroes who fuel the pulse of our nation
A blood donor clinic will be at Rivershed on Saturday between 10:00 and 15:00.
