Five-year-old girl missing in Ventersdorp

The police are asking the help of the community in locating the missing girl.

A five-year-old girl allegedly went missing after being left alone with a three-year-old sibling at home in Goedgevonden village. This incident happened on 28 April 2024 at around 6:00. The parents allegedly left their children alone at home to go to a local tavern, and upon return, the five-year-old girl, Maletlhogonolo Hlongwane, was nowhere to be found.

The parents are being investigated on a case of child neglect.

After an intensive search was conducted around Goedgevonden with no results, the police reached out for help.

The five-year-old missing girl is dark in complexion and was last seen wearing a red tracksuit top, peach trousers and no shoes.

Anyone who may have information on Maletlhogonolo Hlongwane’s whereabouts are asked to contact Sergeant Cecilia Batantse on 060 ‪967 3966 or Captain Willem Smit on 082 ‪772 6453.
