Fire danger alert for North-West
Exercise extreme caution and cooperate fully to prevent fires.
A Heatwave with strong winds has elevated fire danger conditions in the North-West. A small portion of the province is currently under orange alert, indicating high to extreme fire danger, while the remainder is under high red alert.
The North West Umbrella Fire Protection Association has issued a fire danger alert for the North-West on Thursday 5 December. This alert may be extended over the weekend as temperatures continue to soar.
Rethabile Mosiane, Public Information Officer for the North West Umbrella Fire Protection Association, urge all residents to exercise extreme caution and cooperate fully to prevent fires.
