Community mourns the loss of revered leader and pastor

The community of Promosa is mourning the loss of a distinguished leader, Anthony Orel Constance, who passed away on February 19. A man of unwavering faith, integrity, and compassion, Constance dedicated over four decades of his life to pastoral ministry and community service.
Born in Noordgesig in 1955, he rose to prominence as a respected pastor, theologian, and activist. He led his congregation for 42 years, overseeing its transformation into the Ubuntu Family Centre, where he became known as a teacher of the Word and a guiding force in the spiritual lives of many.
Beyond his pastoral duties, Constance was a dedicated community leader and an activist, playing a vital role in social and political development. He served on the jury at the Potchefstroom Magistrate’s Court and chaired several institutions, always advocating for justice and uplifting those in need. His influence extended across multiple spheres, earning him recognition as a statesman-like figure whose wisdom and leadership were widely respected.

He will be laid to rest on March 1, as the community gathers to honour his
memory and celebrate a life dedicated to faith, justice, and the betterment of society.
