Thousands of young people attend worship and prayer event

Thousands converged on Cachet park for the praise and worship event

Close to 3500 young people attended a worship and prayer event held on Cachet park on Friday evening.

Lead by Shammah Chenhaka and Lee-Hendra Chenhaka from Impact movement the event brought together thousands for an electric atmoshpere of dynamic praise and worship.

“In view of the challenges that students face daily, spanning from struggling to cope with academics, mental health awareness, financial struggles, peer pressure, drug, and alcohol abuse and so forth, we found it fit to host this glorious event. This was  an avenue to pull young people from social problems and point them to Christ and for
students to interact, building strong relationships in uplifting the name of our Lord. ” said Shammah Chenhaka of the event.

“Our heart is to build young people’s character and morality, by building safe and strong communities and well disciplined future parents and leaders. We have been hosting such meetings called Impact Nights on and off campus for the past 3yrs and we have seen more than 20 000 NWU students lives impacted by these events,” Chenhaka said.
