Two killed in accident on Viljoenskroon road
The accident involved two motor vehicles.
A massive accident took place this morning (Saturday, 22 August) on the Viljoenskroon Road (R501) where two people were killed.
The accident took place about 13km outside of Potchefstroom around 10:00.
Two motor vehicles were involved in the accident.
According to Ineke van Huyssteen, ER24 Communications Officer,two people were found to have sustained fatal injuries and were declared dead at the scene.
“Five additional patients sustained injuries ranging from minor to serious. ER24 and Government EMS personnel treated the patients on scene before transporting them to hospital for further medical care,” stated Van Huyssteen.
All authorities were on the scene.
