Water shortages on the cards

"We advise residents in the impacted areas to start collecting water"

Areas like Baillie Park, Van der Hoff Park, Mooivallei, Tuscany Ridge, Vyfhoek Mall, and Grimbeek Park may face water shortages as a result of the pipe which has burst that feeds water to the Vyfhoek Reservoir.

According to Jeanette Tshite, municipal spokesperson, an abestos pipe has burst which feeds into the Vyfhoek resvoir.

“We advise residents in the impacted areas to start collecting water that will last for the duration that the line will being fixed. Officials from the Municipality’s Technical Services Directorate are on the scene right now to address the problem. More details will be made public to update the impacted residents,” said Tshite in a statement.
