On Friday 23 September the Potchefstroom Brownies (Girl Guides) showed how creative and artistic they can be by creating small artworks. This they did with the guidance of Denise Moolman from One Stop Art Shop.
The girls each created a painting that they later auctioned in aid of Cansa Potchefstroom. Janice Croft, a local attorney and artist, judged their contributions.
An impressive total of R2 140 was raised and Isabel Minnaar from Cansa thanks the Brownies for their generosity. ‘We appreciate that children at such a young age are taught how to do something for a good cause. With every rand they have brought in, they have made a difference in someone’s life even if they don’t realise it.’
