Acting on a tip-off from a member of the community, Const. Ibrahim Cassim, Const. Sipho Myeza and their Ikageng crime prevention team arrested a 59-year-old suspected drug lord in his house in Promosa at about 16:10 last Wednesday. He was in possession of tik and cat with a street value of R25 000.

According to Const. Kelebogile Trom, the police spokesperson, the community played a pivotal role in the execution of the arrest. The team produced a search warrant and searched the premises.
The suspect appeared in court last Thursday and the case was postponed to 30 May,
