The world-renowned writer and clergyman, Henry Ward Beecher, said every artist dips his brush in his own soul and paints his own nature into his pictures.
Danie van Graan, a local artist, exposed his own nature to Potchefstroomers in paintings at his art exhibition at the Potchefstroom museum on 4 May.
The art lovers had a moment with Van Graan as he explained his wide array of paintings to them – from the ‘Sonneblomme’, ‘Letaba’, ‘Drie Kremetarte’, ‘Stillewe’ to ‘Ystervark chaos’. The fascinated audience sipped on sherry, wine and juice as they toured the museum to examine and appreciate the visual flamboyance.
