The Ikageng police are investigating two murders that occurred in the extensions last Friday.
According to Sgt Kelebogile Trom, a 67-year-old man has been accused of stabbing a 41-year-old man to death in Ext. 9. In addition, a 27-year-old woman has also been accused of stabbing to death a 39-year-old man in Baipei Ext. 11.

When the police were called to the scene in Ext. 9 at about 20:20, they found the deceased lying in the kitchen.
‘The deceased’s girlfriend told the police that her boyfriend had come to the house pressing his hand against his bloody shoulder. He said his 67-year-old friend had stabbed him. After he fell down dead, she covered him with a blanket. All relevant personnel attended to the scene,’ said Trom.
Two hours later, the police were called to another murder scene in Ext. 11. ‘Upon their arrival, the bystanders pointed to where the victim was lying in a pool of blood. They called for an ambulance and, while they were waiting for it to arrive, the deceased’s wife informed the police that another woman had stabbed her husband.
He had an open wound in the chest and had been bleeding severely. He was transported to the mortuary,’ said Trom.
