As part of Youth Month, the team decided to do a prayer-walk from hotspot to hotspot in these areas in Promosa and pray against social crimes and ills facing our youth on a daily basis. These include drugs and alcohol abuse, domestic violence, teenage pregnancy HIV-Aids and unemployment.
The event will commence at the corner of Park and Bloemetjie streets.
While registration fees are voluntary and those who wish to participate in the prayer-walk but do not have the funds are welcome to do so, the purpose of the event is to generate funds. The organisers are asking the community and businesses in Potchefstroom, Ikageng, Mohadin and Promosa to take hands and make this event a success. Without their help and donations, Sister Harwood won’t be able to attend this much- anticipated trip to Jerusalem.
The prayer-walk in Promosa starts at 08:00 and will be finished by 11:00.
The entrance fee per person is R25 for adults and R10 for children.
There is also a fun day at Promosa Secondary between 12:00 and17:00.
All the funds will go towards Sister Harwood’s trip to Jerusalem.
