Medical doctor (43) arrested for sexually assaulting female patient in Ikageng

A 43-year-old Ikageng medical doctor is alleged to have sexually assaulted a 20-year-old woman in his consulting room last Wednesday.

A 43-year-old Ikageng medical doctor is alleged to have sexually assaulted a 20-year-old woman in his consulting room last Wednesday.

He was arrested on monday, 10 September.

According to Sgt Kelebogile Trom, the police spokesperson, the woman alleges that on that day, she had asked a neighbour to accompany her to a nearby doctor because she wasn’t feeling well.

‘On arrival at the doctor at about 12:30, she entered the consultation room alone and told him that she had a headache. The doctor took her blood pressure and asked her if she preferred pills or an injection. She chose the latter.

‘He went out and came back again and closed the door. He administered the injection and told her to take her upper clothes off and to lie down on the bed. He then started massaging her from the neck down. He told her to lift both her arms and began to massage her breasts. He wanted to know if she was on her menstrual period and she replied no. He then asked her to undress altogether, lie on her back and open her legs. He put his surgical gloves on and started massaging her genitals.

‘She started getting uncomfortable but told herself that the doctor knows what he’s doing.

‘When he tried to insert his finger, however, she jumped. He asked if it was painful and she said yes and left the consulting room. Another woman alleges that the same thing happened to her,’ reported Trom.
