The Municipality has warned residents who have invaded land unlawfully at Ward 17 in Promosa.

According to Willie Maphosa, municipal spokesperson, this area is extremely unsafe as it has at been used as a training base for the army. Live explosives have often been found in the area.

“The Department of Defense has still had to do a thorough sweeping of the area for it to be safe for habitation. Residents are warned to leave the area for their own safety. Failure of the residents to heed this warning will result in the municipality securing a court order to remove the people from the area,” said Maphosa.
