The Ikageng police are investigating a rape case after an uncle allegedly raped his 15-year-old niece in Top City, Ikageng in the early hours of Sunday.
According to Sgt Kelebogile Trom, the police spokesperson, the teen was sleeping with her two siblings when the uncle woke her up and took her to his bedroom.
‘He told her to undress and the girl refused. A scuffle ensued as she tried to fight off her uncle. He then forcefully stripped her and proceeded to rape her,’ reported Trom.
Trom says the suspect has not been arrested and the police are still investigating.
