Police find stolen sheep and drugs in Ikageng

The Ikageng police are investigating cases of suspected stolen property and possession of illegal substances after coming across a man with alleged stolen sheep and drugs in Kanana on Sunday.

The Ikageng police have arrested a 26-year-old man after finding him with suspected stolen sheep and drugs in Kanana, Ikageng on Sunday, 3 February.

According to Sgt Kelebogile Trom, the police spokesperson, the police received a complaint of someone slaughtering a sheep at about 16:30.
‘On their arrival at the address, they found a man cooking the intestines of a sheep. When they asked if they could search the house, he said it belonged to a friend but they could go ahead. The police found three sheep that were still alive. They also found five pieces of broken tablets under a couch which, they suspected, were drugs. They also found cash in a container,’ said Trom.
