Potchefstroom is divided into Four (4) Policing Sectors, elected members from each Sector forms the Executive CPF committee that represent the community at local level.

Potchefstroom is divided into Four (4) Policing Sectors, elected members from each Sector forms the Executive CPF committee that represent the community at local level.  The main functions of the CPF are:

  • To promote the accountability of the SAPS to communities and encourage cooperation between communities and the Police Service.
  • To report results of any evaluation regarding service delivery the community.
  • To promote and monitor the effective management of the SAPS at local level.

This is only to mention a few.  Every five (5) years the CPF goes through ‘n election process to elect new Sector structures and CPF Executive Committee.

Invitation and Notice of Election Meetings

Every member of the community are invited to get involved in your Sector CPF structures and make a difference.  Take the time and attend the meeting as indicated for every sector.

Potchefstroom CPF Policing Sectors are as follows:

  • Sector 1: Tuscany Ride, Mooivallei Park, Mooivallei Hoewes, Oewersig, Heilige Akker, Van der Hoffpark, Old Bailliepark, CBD, Potchindustria, Dassierand, Wasgoedspruit, and Military Area.
  • Sector 2: Bailiepark, Grimbeekpark, Central, Mierderpark,
  • Sector 3: All rural communitys surrounding Potchefstroom.
  • Sector 4: Waterberry, Dam Area, Bult, Kannonierspark, NWU.

The Election dates, times and places is indicated as follows:

  • Sector 1: 2 April 2019 (18:00) at the SAPS Officers Club at the Police Station.
  • Sector 2: 3 April 2019 (18:00) at the SAPS Officers Club at the Police Station.
  • Sector 3: 1 April 2019 (17:00) at the SAPS Officers Club at the Police Station.
  • Sector 4: 1 April 2019 (18:30) at the NWU F1 building, Senate Hall

 

The elected members must attend the election meeting of the CPF Potchefstroom Executive Committee on 10 April 2019 (18:00) where the new Executive will be elected.
