Four drunk drivers arrested in Potchefstroom on Friday

The police arrested four people for drunk driving during Operation Fiela that took place on Friday 29 March and Saturday 30 March.

The police arrested four people for drunk driving over the weekend.

According to the Potchefstroom police station commander, Brig Steven Moodley, the Potchefstroom and Ikageng task teams, as well as the provincial traffic department, worked together to achieve these successes during the operation.

Moodley says that they arrested all four drunk drivers on Friday and that there were no arrests made on Saturday.

“There were no arrests (on Saturday) because of high police visibility.  Zero tolerance to crime was the main objective of the day,” Moodley said.

Moodley encouraged members to be focused and work hard, reminding them that the hope of this country is in their hands.
