A woman was allegedly robbed at knifepoint recently in Ikageng.

A woman was allegedly robbed at knifepoint recently in Ikageng.

According to Sgt Kelebogile Trom, police spokesperson, the woman was on her way to fetch her brother’s hat from a camp in Ikageng when she was allegedly approached by a man. He asked for cigarettes and the woman told him that she doesn’t have any. “He took out a knife and stabbed her on her left hand. She then saw seven other men with knives, and she became scared,” said Trom.

The woman allegedly took out her phone and handed it over to the suspects.

The cellphone was valued at R 200.
