Eskom plans to conduct emergency maintenance of POTCH DS Transformer 1 on Thursday, 30 April as well as commission TRF 4 at POTCH Munic.
According to William Maphosa, Municipal spokesperson, this is the main incoming Eskom substation for the Potchefstroom region.
“Ordinarily there will be no power outage as the electricity demand is currently low during the existing lockdown downtime. However the remote and unforeseen possibility of an outage cannot be ruled out,” he said.
The Municipality futher encourages consumers to use electricity wisely.
