Department of Correctional Services to host National Golf Development Clinic
The Department of Correctional Services in partnership with the National Golf Club Executive Committee will host Golf Development Clinic for DCS officials at Potchefstroom Remand Detention from 26 to 28 July 2022.

The Department of Correctional Services in partnership with the National Golf Club Executive Committee will host a Golf Development Clinic for DCS officials at Potchefstroom Remand Detention from 26 to 28 July 2022. The Golf Development Clinic is intended to introduce correctional officials to golf train them to be experienced golfers.
“This initiative seeks to promote the healthy lifestyle and wellness of employees at the workplace, leading to healthy and energized employees who are productive at work,” Busisiwe Shibambo, Communication manager of correctional services explained.
The President of National Golf in the Department of Correctional Services, Kgwadu Mohale envisage that the Golf Development Clinics will improve the morale of employees. “Sports is one of the activities that keep employees active and healthy and reduces the level of stress,” he said.
Officials from all the DCS six regions countrywide will participate. With the aim of empowering women, the department encourages them to participate in all sports activities offered to them. This will lead to a larger number of female golfers representing the department in future competitions.
