In 2012, he was fortunate to be part of the first group of participants to undergo a Community House Building Programme (NQF Level 2) at Vuselela TVET College. That is where his life took a complete turn! He decided to study Civil Engineering and Building Construction at Vuselela TVET College, Potchefstroom Campus in 2012 and completed it in 2014. He also enrolled for Business Management N4 part-time in 2014 and completed N6 at the end of 2015. That year, Mr Masibi was the ISRC president and served on the Academic Board and the College Council.
Mr Masibi went through a student placement programme and was placed to undergo Work-Integrated Learning with the Department of Community Safety and Transport Management in Wolmaransstad. Mr Masibi is currently an entrepreneur.
He started his own brick-making company, producing maxi and M140 bricks. They intend to expand by introducing paving and stock bricks later in the year. The business has six full-time staff members. Masibi is also the provincial spokesperson of the ANCYL in the North West Province and youth coordinator in the Office of the District Mayor of the Dr Kenneth Kaunda District Municipality.
It has been a long road from starting at Vuselela TVET College to where he is today. It requires dedication, hard work, caring and selflessness, but if you have the will to succeed, the result is fulfilling.
