Second year nursing students helped to plant this new tree, just like previous students had done before them with the existing tree at Lesego Clinic.

Zanele Madlopha, Lutho Mdutshane, Megan Fermor, Grethe Guess and Mardi Grobbelaar were the students who helped plant the tree.

This lemon tree challenge started in 2015 as and forms part of the integrated management of childhood illness (IMCI). The lemons can as such be used by the clinic to help treat illness.

“The lemon trees are really helpful at the clinic as the lemon juice is used as a flu remedy,” stated Sr. Glenda Shuping.

The groundslady at Lesego Clinic, Kesentseng Pitseng, will also make sure to take good care of this new tree that brings more hope to the community.
