Child dies and grandmother injured after taxi accident

A minibus taxi allegedly ran over a three-year-old child as well as a grandmother in Legodi street, Ikageng at roughly 07:45 this morning (1 March). 

ER24 were first on scene to provide medical assistance.

Bystanders reported that a taxi ran over a three-year-old child who was declared dead on the scene. The child’s grandmother,  sustained serious injuries during the accident. She has been transported to Potchefstroom Hospital, where she is in a serious condition.
