Outdoor movie night postponed due to wet weather
As a result of the current weather, the event has been postponed until further notice.
Lifting Dreams, in collaboration with Potchefstroom Service Centre for the Elderly (Potchefstroom Dienssentrum vir Bejaardes) was scheduled to host an exciting outdoor picnic and movie night under the stars at De Skuur restaurant this evening, 3 March. As a result of the current wet weather, the event has been postponed until a later date.
The event aims to create awareness of Lifting Dreams to eventually increase the number of volunteers to become part of the Lifting Dream family. The organisation not only needs volunteers to go to the schools but also to help with administration.
Lifting Dreams is a registered non-profit organisation that specializes in community upliftment through education. The NPO aims to bring quality education to underprivileged children in South Africa by providing supplementary enrichment programmes at under-resourced schools.
Lifting Dreams provides tutoring, student volunteer opportunities and working professionals with the opportunity to strengthen children’s academic success through English and Mathematics. Their team relentlessly invests in developing suitable academic con-tent by partnering with the North-West University’s (NWU) Faculty of Education.
