Aspiring football players who have not already done so are reminded to register for Potchefstroom's first Football Development Boot Camp.
Aspiring football players who have not already done so are reminded to register for Potchefstroom’s first Football Development Boot Camp, offered by ACTIV8 Football Development, in partnership with the J.B. Marks Local Municipality – Department of Sports, Arts, Culture; Sportistics and Athletes in Need.
The boot camp was officially launched at the Promosa stadium last month. Aspiring football players still have time to register.

Busang Molekane, the chairperson of AIN, said it was vital to bring such a positive incentive to Promosa since the community is largely known for its social ills. This new initiative should serve as a beacon of hope for the youth within the community.

The launch aimed to give stakeholders an understanding of the objectives of the boot camp, which are, and not limited to:
- Player scouting and recruitment
- Possible PSL clubs contender
- An opportunity to play in Saudi Arabia in September among 20 players selected from Gauteng, Limpopo and North West Province, respectively.
- Player and football skills development
- 5-day football clinics.
In North West, the development boot camp officially starts at Promosa Stadium from 25 to 29 March 2023. ACTIV8 is a football development agency residing in Gauteng province and Limpopo province. The agency hosts football boot camps across the country, supported by ambassadors of the agency who are former and current football players, like Sphiwe Mkhonza, Brian Baloyi and others. For more information on the boot camp and how you can register, contact Busang at 084 999 3612.
