Ward 7 unites to fix roads one pothole at a time

Councillor Andre Klopper is taking action in Ward 7 with a unique hands-on campaign to fix potholes, uniting residents and businesses for real impact.

Councillor Andre Klopper along with his ward committee members, has taken to the streets in Ward 7 to repair potholes in the area.
“We’ve called this initiative ‘Plant a Pole, Patch a Pothole’. The idea is to get community members involved and take hands-on action to improve our area, no matter how long it takes,” said Klopper.

According to Klopper, he reached out to the ward about a month ago to ask if residents would be willing to sponsor materials to repair potholes.
Since then, Build It has partnered with us and agreed to donate one bag of pothole mix for every 10 bags we purchase,” he said.
The project kicked off on Saturday, June 28, when the first potholes in Goud street were repaired. This coming Saturday, July 5, the project will continue in Goud and Silwer streets.
“I believe this initiative has the potential to unite people from all walks of life to make a real difference in our town. We are calling on all willing and able residents to come and join us,” said Klopper.
Residents who want to get involved can contact Andre Klopper on 072 957 4956.
