Urgent pipeline repairs cause water outage in Ikageng

Repair work on a major water pipeline at Maphongo and Lekhele streets is causing a temporary water outage in Ikageng. The municipality urges residents to be patient as work continues through the day.

Urgent repair work is being done on July 14 at the intersection of Maphongo and Lekhele streets.

The repairs to the main water pipeline started at 08:00 this morning and will continue until late.

According to Jeanette Tshite, municipal spokesperson, this will result in a temporary water supply interruption which will affect Ikageng excluding the extensions.

“The Municipality apologizes for the inconvenience and appreciates patience and
understanding of all those affected during this essential maintenance work,” Tshite said in a statement.
