The love of teaching pours out of the soul of Josi Strydom - or Mrs. Strydom as most Girls High learners would greet her. The now recently retired teacher still has numerous former learners greeting her excitedly in public.

“I loved teaching the naughty kids, because my own kids were naughty! For 43 years I was always there for the kids, making sure that they understand the work, build confidence and see their faces light up.”

The High School For Girls Potchefstroom says farewell to one of their legendary teachers, Mrs. Josi Strydom. Strydom was a well-respected member of the Girls High staff for 31 years, who taught countless learners at this prestigious school.
