Local beauty chosen as Mrs South Africa semi-finalist
Her selection places her among more than 100 women across the country.
At the age of 33, Ntwanano ‘Kutlwano’ Molefakgotla is stepping boldly into a new chapter, one defined not by expectation, but by intention.
Born and raised in Ventersdorp’s Tshing township and now based in Mafikeng, Molefakgotla is no stranger to responsibility. She is a wife, mother of four including two-year-old twins, and an admitted attorney of the High Court.
Yet, beyond the titles and daily demands, she is a woman on a mission to rediscover herself. That journey has now taken her onto a national platform, after she was selected as a semi-finalist in the Mrs South Africa 2026 competition. For Molefakgotla this moment is about far more than a crown.
“For me, participating in this pageant is a way of breaking free from societal norms and reclaiming my identity as an individual outside of marriage and motherhood,” she says. “It is about proving that I am more than just a wife and a mother.”
Her selection places her among more than 100 women across the country, each embarking on what is often described as the “MBA of Life,” a programme focused on leadership, personal growth, and meaningful community impact. But behind the poised presence is a deeply personal story of growth.
Like many women, Molefakgotla found herself navigating the shifts that come with motherhood and marriage, often placing her own needs last. Now, she is choosing differently, prioritising selfcare, fitness, and personal development, while continuing her passion for community upliftment and helping those in need.
“I want to build my self-esteem, especially postpartum, and step out of my comfort zone,” she explains. “This is about challenging myself and becoming the best version of who I am.”
Her work as an attorney has long been rooted in service, giving a voice to the voiceless and connecting with people from all walks of life. It is a calling she carries with pride, and one that aligns naturally with the purpose-driven ethos of the Mrs South Africa programme. Despite her already full plate, Molefakgotla is embracing the demanding journey ahead. One that includes workshops, mentorship, public appearances, and community involvement.
“As a mother of four, a wife, and a professional, my responsibilities to others often come first,” she says. “But achieving balance means also committing to myself, investing in my well-being, and healthily managing stress.”
Being named a semi-finalist has already left a lasting impact. “I am honoured and thrilled to stand alongside such beautiful, strong and courageous women,” she says. “It reminds me that I am capable of taking up space and that my story matters.”
At the heart of her journey lies a powerful purpose to inspire. “My biggest dream is to be a role model to my children, especially my daughters, and to other women,” she says. “I want them to know that it is never too late to pursue their dreams, to be brave and to be empowered, no matter what stage of life they are in.”
As she steps into this transformative experience, Molefakgotla is not only chasing personal growth but also a deeper sense of fulfilment beyond her daily routine.
“This journey is about growth, purpose and meaningful connections,” she says. “It is about surrounding myself with women who uplift and empower one another, and discovering more about myself along the way.”
She is now calling on the public to be part of her journey, encouraging supporters to follow her on Instagram at Ntwanano_33 and to cast their votes as she continues her climb on the Mrs South Africa stage. In reclaiming her identity, Ntwanano Molefakgotla is doing more than competing, she is rewriting the narrative, not only for herself, but for every woman who has ever been told that her story ends where others begin.
