Potchefstroom Central learners shine in creativity, language and compassion
The past few weeks have been filled with memorable activities that highlighted the many talents and caring hearts within the school community.
From showcasing their creativity in the classroom to excelling in language and reaching out to animals in need, Potchefstroom Central School learners have once again demonstrated the values of hard work, compassion and enthusiasm.
Handmade masks
Potchefstroom Central School’s Grade 2 learners recently put their creativity to the test by designing and making their own masks.
From colourful patterns to unique creations, each mask reflected the learners’ imagination, artistic flair and enthusiasm. The activity not only allowed the youngsters to express themselves creatively, but also showcased their growing confidence and talent.
The school commended the Grade 2 learners for their effort and encouraged them to continue dreaming, creating and shining.

Spelling Bee
Learners put their language skills to the test during Potchefstroom Central School’s Spelling Bee, held on Tuesday, June 2.
The school congratulated every learner who participated, praising them for their confidence, determination and excellent preparation. Participants impressed with their spelling abilities and proudly represented themselves throughout the competition.
Special recognition was also given to the top performers, with the school encouraging all learners to continue striving for excellence and to nurture their love for language and learning.

Helping hand to animals
Potchefstroom Central School’s caring spirit was on full display when learners and their families donated various items to PAWS Haven Potchefstroom.
The shelter recently collected the generous donations, which included wet and dry pet food, blankets and toys for the animals in its care.
The school thanked every learner and family who contributed, saying their kindness and compassion would make a real difference in the lives of animals in need.
A special word of appreciation was also extended to the school’s teachers for their support and encouragement, as well as to Mrs Labuschagne and Mrs van der Bergh for their hard work and organisation behind the scenes.

The successful collection once again highlighted the strong sense of community and compassion that exists at Potchefstroom Central School.
