Police appeal for help in finding missing mentally disabled man

A search operation was immediately launched and extensive investigations were conducted in Ikageng and surrounding areas, but no trace of him has yet been found.

The Ikageng police have appealed to the community for assistance in tracing a 66-year-old mentally disabled man who has been missing for more than a month.

According to police spokesperson Constable Thuto Bobelo, Mojalefa William Mosemaka was last seen by his aunt on the morning of Thursday, May 7.

A search operation was immediately launched and extensive investigations were conducted in Ikageng and surrounding areas, but no trace of him has yet been found.

At the time of his disappearance, Mosemaka was wearing brown trousers, a blue tracksuit top, a black cap and cream-and-white Adidas sneakers.

He is described as brown in complexion, of average build, with a black and grey unshaven moustache, a very short black and grey beard and is bald.

“Police are requesting anyone who may have information regarding Mosemaka’s whereabouts to come forward and assist in locating him,” said Bobelo.

Police have urged members of the public to share information that could help reunite Mosemaka with his family.
