JB Marks Municipality urges residents to re-program pre-paid electricity meters before the 24 November 2024 deadline. Extended office hours on 23-24 November at key locations for assistance.

The JB Marks Local Municipality is working diligently to ensure that all residents who have yet to re-program their pre-paid electricity meters do so before the fast-approaching deadline of 24 November 2024.

In response to the growing number of residents who still need to re-program their meters, the municipality has announced that several offices will remain open this weekend to assist with the process.

Extended Office Hours for Pre-Paid Meter Reprogramming

On Saturday, 23 November, and Sunday, 24 November 2024, residents are invited to visit the following municipal offices for meter re-programming:

  • Dan Tloome Revenue Offices
  • Promosa Revenue Office
  • Ikageng Revenue Office
  • Ventersdorp Revenue Office
  • Electricity Offices at the corner of Luitingh Street and Ikageng Road

The operating hours for the weekend are as follows:

  • Saturday, 23 November: 08:00 – 17:00
  • Sunday, 24 November: 08:00 – 14:00

Bring Your Required Documentation

Residents are reminded to bring the following documents with them when visiting the designated offices for meter re-programming:

  • Electricity Card Number
  • Electricity Slip/Token

This process is crucial to ensure that all pre-paid meters are updated and that residents continue to have uninterrupted electricity supply beyond the deadline.

The municipality requests that all residents cooperate and complete the re-programming of their meters as soon as possible, to avoid disruptions in service.
