Lions and Knights battle Sunday at Senwes Park

The Highveld Lions will travel to Potchefstroom this weekend as they take on the VKB Knights in Momentum One Day Cup action at Senwes Park on Sunday, 25 October.  This is a must-win match for the Lions if they want to catch up with the leading pack of teams, as they are currently only in fifth place after three matches.

The Lions boast a number of local North West players in their team such as the likes of Rassie van der Dussen and Eddie Leie  who will want to impress in front of their home crowd.  The Lions also have the tournament-leading runscorer, Alviro Petersen, at their disposal.

The Knights, currently at the bottom of the log, will also be no pushover with the likes of the experienced Quinton Friend and Werner Coetsee in good form.  The match will start at 10:00. Tickets are available at Ticketpro.co.za or at Senwes Park. Cost is R50 for adults and R40 for scholars.
