Giving back is a noble gesture, giving back in a community is a lifetime investment.

Sport is a social tool that unites people from different backgrounds and Tiki Taka United aims to embrace the idea of football development in Ikageng.

The club, formed in 2013 by twins, Katlego and Letlhogonolo Sephakwe, aims to integrate the technical side of football and the effect of sports on an individual.

The club has four different age categories within its structures with under 11, 13, 15 up to the semi-professional u.17 ranks. The brothers acknowledge the “need to cater to all levels” in their approach.

“Society always aims to align itself with winners. At this stage, winning might not be a priority for Tiki Taka as the coaches emphasise that they focus on junior development.

“We aim to improve the skills, technique and understanding of the game and make it an enjoyable exercise,” said Katlego.

The involvement of the community is important to the growth of this team and the future looks bright for Tiki Taka, especially if the community supports local football on a regular basis.
