HTS Potchefstroom’s football team are on the way after victories against neighbours Hoërskool Die Wilge and are heading in the right direction towards footballing success. HTS has done a lot in the past couple of months to uplift this sporting code and it appears that they are bearing fruits for their efforts.

Three of HTS’ teams took to the field at Die Wilge on Thursday 27 July in friendly competition.

The HTS first team in their gold and black kit beat Die Wilge 1-0 thanks to a solitary goal from Olebogeng “Ollie” Mosiane. De Wilge’s ladies team beat HTS Potch 2-0 while HTS Potch u.16 team thrashed Die Wilge’s u.16’s 6-0. Kamogelo Bazika Baphuti scored a brace, with Resego Njoro, Thato Matras, Warren Greef  and Tshepang Loate getting their names on the scoresheet.

HTS will play against Pudulogo today in the Coca-Cola Cup quarter finals. A win will take them to the district finals on Saturday.
