The long and the short of it, though, is that Meyer walked out as the champion after a second-round victory by submission in a hard-fought display. Majuba tried to knock the stuffing out of Meyer with some brutal kicks and a low blow but the NWU student was smart enough to avoid defeat with a well-balanced game plan. This victory is just the beginning of big things for ‘911’ who is already preparing for a rumoured but probable fight at Fightstar in December. Meyer is currently training with EFC professional MMA fighter, Roevan de Beer as well as Tiaan Swart at Olympus MMA who have helped him to progress to the top.
