The North West leg of the President’s Cup hockey tournament took place at the NWU Astroturf over the weekend when the NWU’s men’s and ladies first teams were in action against some tough opposition from the top clubs in Gauteng.
The NWU ladies achieved a 4–0 victory against UJ in a battle for third place. The NWU men were also involved in a tussle for third place when they faced off against Beaulieu. NWU won 5–1. Old Eds won the men’s section with Crusaders winning the ladies section.
