The bowling and batting exploits of THS first-team cricket all-rounders, Phemelo Sepati and Jim Keagile took their side to a six-wicket win against Hoër Volkskool Potchefstroom’s second team in the North West League B-division first round match on Saturday.

Sepati took 3/8 in 5 overs before Keagile destroyed the Volkies’ middle and lower order with figures of 6/35 in 8 overs. Keagile mesmerised the Volkies batsmen on a difficult wicket that had invariable bounce throughout to leave them 89 all out.   In reply, Keagile made 41 and Sepati 33 with the bat to complete the two-man show on the day. This is a fantastic start for the THS boys who will be looking to bag another win against Ikageng on 1 September.
