Potchefstroom’s Nicky van den Bergh, showcased his class and temparament with the willow for the bizhub Highveld Lions this week with an unbeaten 217* against the Titans in their 4-day franchise match in Benoni.

Van den Bergh made merry on a fantastic pitch as his double ton took the Lions to 593/5 declared. Van den Bergh faced  227 balls in his knock which included 29 fours and 2 sixes. Dominic Hendricks also chipped in with 197 and Dragons batsman, Kagiso Rapulana hit a fine 75 (90) as well.

The Lions currently need 4 wickets to win the match on the final day today, with the Titans reeling on 95/6.
