Former NWU stars shine as SA beat Jamaica in Netball World Cup

Two former NWU netball players, Renske Stoltz and Sigi Burger are also on the team that will look to bring the cup home, or at least make the semi-finals as their first priority.

The 2019 Netball World Cup in Liverpool, England has seen its fair share of drama in the first preliminary round with South Africa’s Proteas securing a fantastic first time 55-52 victory against Jamaica.

The Proteas showed grit as they beat the number 2 ranked team in the world by a whisker. Two former NWU netball players, Renske Stoltz and Sigi Burger are also on the team that will look to bring the cup home, or at least make the semi-finals as their first priority.
