t was a case of so close but yet so far for the NWU Varsity Netball team on Monday. They came within a whisker of toppling the unbeaten Tuks. NWU went down by 46–43 but can be happy with the effort they put in against a solid Tuks team on home turf.
This result will definitely give the NWU women added confidence ahead of the remaining fixture against the NMU Madibaz next Monday, 23 September.
As things stand, it looks increasingly like the NWU will face Tuks in the semi-final in a fortnight. They will need to put everything on the court to take themselves into the final.
